A quick note from Kristen Blanton, co-founder of Hello America:
Hello America began in simple form as an in suppressible need to see the American road sans comfort and regulation.
We are Kristen Blanton and Matt Jozwiak. Together we traveled 20,000 miles for four months out of our jeep converted into a camper in effort to document this American life in 2014 in pure analog form.
After a successful Kickstarter that gave us the means to shoot and develop our film, we are now in the throws of creating our first fine arts analog book "Hello America: The Road."
This photo shoot for Camp Brand Goods represents the place we grew up. After four summer months on the road, we arrived in our hometown, surrounded by people we've seen grown, admire and are inspired by.
So this is what Grayton Beach in fall, in Florida, with our bunch of rag-tag folks, looks like. A day spent around a campfire, cooking in a southern heat in late August, singin' and drinkin' and sharing stories of the time we were apart and being still in the moments we were fortunate enough to have together again.
In this bunch, we all roam and roam frequent. To capture this moment, with these people… well, these images are images we will hold firm.
