Arctic Fox
Also known as the white fox, polar fox, and snow fox, the Arctic fox is one of the most common mammals found throughout the Arctic. Due to its multilayered fur, this amazing creature doesn’t start to feel cold until the temperature is as low as -70 ℃!
History: Because of the superior insulating power of their thick coats, the pelts of Arctic foxes were historically used by indigenous tribes for clothing. Because of this, the global Arctic fox population number was threatened by over hunting. However, as the fur trade diminished, Arctic fox numbers have successfully rebounded. Currently, they are classified as least concern on the conversation status spectrum, and their population is believed to be steadily increasing.Shipping & Returns
