CULTURE // GREAT NORTH COLLECTIVE INSTAMEET
A couple months back the fine gentlemen behind Great North Collective asked us if we would like to be part of an Instameet they were putting together. First thing we did was say yes, and then immediatly googled to find out what the heck an Instameet is. Turns out, an Instameet is where a bunch of people who know or follow each other on Instagram get together in real life and walk around taking pictures of stuff. Sounds kind of crazy, but we thought— hey, the guys at Great North Collective are pretty swell, so let’s give it a whirl. And ya’know what! Boy are we glad we did. Not only did we get to hang with top notch crew behind GNC (David Guenther, Chris Amat, Ryan Abernathy and Mike Seehagel), but we were able to meet a whole bunch of other rad people from all over the place. We made some instant best friends with the crew from British Columbia and had a great time showing a couple Americans around who made the trek from California and New York. Nothing beats a day spent in the mountains with friends! Here’s a couple photos from the weekend. We also want to give a big thanks to the Great North Collective crew for getting us involved as well as to Travel Alberta, Brewster and the other sponsors who made the event such a good time. Check out the hashtag #gncmeet on Instagram to see a bunch of photos from everyone who attended the meet, and make sure you check out Great North Collective online at www.greatnorthcollective.com. Their website is currently under construction but should be good to go by the end of the week!
